Intensive Spanish 30 consists of 6 hrs of group lessons per day, Monday through Friday, divided in morning lessons of 4 hrs and afternoon lessons of 2 hrs to reinforce the material from the morning sessions.

What Does the Intensive Spanish 30 Course Offer?

The Intensive Spanish 30 Course is a process of true immersion in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The 30 hours of group lessons is the most intensive option we have. The course is a mixture of our very popular intensive group classes in the morning with an additional two hours of lessons in the afternoon that focus on providing students with extra language practice in a group setting.

All of our programs are aligned with and based on the Cervantes Institute guidelines, and the curriculum and teaching plans are framed by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. In the classroom, our teachers use the communicative method, meaning that students are encouraged to speak and interact as much as possible during class time. In all of our courses, students will develop the four key language skills: speaking, writing, reading, and listening.

Who Should Take the Intensive Spanish 30 Course?

We recommend the Intensive Spanish 30 course for those who already know some Spanish and want to jump in and advance their language skills in a short amount of time. It is ideal for those who want true immersion at an affordable price and those who want extra oral practice during their learning process. So whether you only have a couple of short weeks to be in a group Spanish course or you are simply looking for the maximum amount of intensive Spanish classes in Argentina, this course is for you. In some cases, it can even help students progress through levels faster.

The Intensive Spanish 30 class is a great option for you if you want to:

  • Learn beyond the specific content of your level’s curriculum and focus on real communication and situational context.
  • Get extra practice in the most important communication skills (reading comprehension, listening comprehension, written expression and speaking skills)
  • Meet other students of different nationalities while practicing the Spanish language through interactive activities

What Should I Expect in the Classroom?

In the morning, you will be in the same group classes as the Intensive Spanish 20 program which gives you the opportunity to learn the grammar and practice the four key language skills with your peers. But in the 30-hour course, you have an opportunity to perfect what you learned in the morning. The afternoon session allows you to consolidate the information you have learned in the morning and put it into practice within situational contexts through games and other interactive activities.

The extra practice will go a long way in your language studies. All the class assignments are aimed to help you learn through extensive practice with your classmates and helpful guidance from the teacher.

Excellent Exciting Extraordinary Expanish!!!

I'm the academic manager at Discover English, a high quality English language school in Melbourne, Australia, so I feel pretty well qualified to provide an assessment of Expanish. And I absolutely loved my experience there! The school has a great atmosphere due to the lovely, genuine, helpful staff. Reception is always ready with a smile to assist you in whichever way you need, the admin staff make the enrolment process a piece of cake and give an awesome orientation, both to Expanish and BA. The teachers go to every effort to make the classes interesting, motivating, easy to understand and will always give you extra help in the breaks and after class. Gabriel, the academic manager, makes it his business to know every student who is attending and ensures they are happy and getting the most out of their study experience. The school fosters a holistic Spanish-learning experience by providing a range of excellent extra curricula activities lead by the teachers, such as excursions to places in BA eg La Boca, tango lessons, mate drinking, nights out and much more. These activities are a great way to practise your Spanish in a less structured environment, to make friends with students from other classes and to get exposure to the culture of BA. The school is in a great central location and facilities themselves are excellent. It has well-sized classrooms filled with natural light, a lovely big colourful common area, computers to use and nice clean bathrooms and tearoom. There is lots of information on the notice boards about things to do in BA as well as the school's own activities, and coffee, snacks and water available. The learning materials provided in class are comprehensive and extremely useful. The school also generously provides extra classes the day after a public holiday. May is a wise time to visit as it's low season and classes are very small, meaning you get to know your classmates very well, have lots of opportunity to speak in class and get a great deal of attention from your teachers. Last but not least, the people you meet at Expanish are terrific. They are all genuinely there to learn Spanish and have a good time. And there is a nice age range so older learners like me don't feel awkward. I had such a fantastic time Expanish...I couldn't recommend it more highly!!

I have really enjoyed the instruction and quality of the staff and teachers.

I have benefited a lot from the afternoon discussion classes that allow me to practice what I have learn in the morning sessions. I enjoyed also the scheduled cultural activities, especially the tango classes and the mate history class. Expanish makes it easy to travel & learn!

Great language school in Buenos Aires microcentre!

I have spent about 5 weeks in Expanish. Three of them I was enrolled in a group course and 2 weeks I took a few individual classes. I would very much recommend this school. Gabriel- the owner- was always very helpful with adjusting the level to my needs. If you feel you are not in the right level you can.

How do I choose between Spanish 20 and Spanish 30?

This depends on the experience you are looking for. Those who want to have their afternoons free in order to explore the city will find a better fit with Spanish 20. It offers 4 hours of classes per day which leaves the other half of the day open for activities, sightseeing and more. Those who would want to fully dedicate their time in Buenos Aires to studying and want to quickly increase their level of Spanish will find the Spanish 30 course a better option as they will have morning and afternoon sessions.

How will my day be scheduled when taking the Spanish 30 course?

The course is a mixture of our very popular intensive group classes in the morning from 9am to 1pm, with an additional two hours of lessons in the afternoon from 2pm to 4pm that focus on providing students with extra language practice in a group setting.
