Once difficult to fulfill that late morning, early afternoon craving, in recent months brunch has exploded in the Buenos Aires culinary scene, with dozens of cafés offering some sort of breakfast-lunch combo on the menu. It is no secret that Buenos Aires is a city of mystery, culture, music, and art. The city boasts some of the best theatres, music venues, art galleries, and museums in Latin America. Students in Spanish immersion in Buenos Aires will get to indulge in their artistic side starting September 21, at ‘La Semana Del Arte’, Buenos Aires Art Week 2008.
This week is the most important art event in Buenos Aires during the year and pulls in hundreds of visitors and locals. This year will be the fifth consecutive year of Buenos Aires Art week and students learning Spanish inBuenos Aires will have the chance to learn about art in Latin America and around the world. Almost 100 art galleries, museums, and cultural centers from around the city will be participating in this event.
Students learning Spanish in Buenos Aires will be able to enjoy guided tours, cultural and artistic activities, concerts, and more during this week, all free of charge. Students in Spanish immersion in Buenos Aires can also go out and enjoy special ‘gallery nights’. These will take place on 24th, 25th and 26 nights; the art galleries in the neighborhoods of Palermo, San Telmo, Puerto Madero, Retiro and Recoleta will open their doors from 7pm and up until midnight.
