Javier Martínez de Velasco

Javier directs operations at our boutique school in Madrid. With more than 30 years’ experience in leadership roles in education, he is well equipped to make sure Expanish delivers the best immersive cultural and learning experiences for all students.

Drawing on 13 years living in the US, where he completed a PhD at the University of Kansas and taught as a professor at Central Washington University, Javier also plays an active role in developing Expanish’s Study Abroad programs for US university students. His interest in building intercultural competencies drives the team’s daily efforts to offer students a memorable experience in Madrid.
