DELE & SIELE Exam Preparation

Whether you are preparing for the DELE or the SIELE, our exam preparation courses are designed to build the exact competencies you need for your selected level. Classes cover the Spanish skills assessed on the exam, test taking strategies, and practice exams, taught by teachers who know both exams inside out.

What's the difference between DELE and SIELE?

DELE (Diploma de Español como Lengua Extranjera)

A Spanish proficiency exam, internationally recognized and granted by the Cervantes Institute.

  • One exam per level, from A1 to C2

  • Pass/fail result

  • Set testing dates throughout the year

  • Valid permanently, it never expires

SIELE (Servicio Internacional de Evaluación de la Lengua Española)

A fully digital exam created by the Cervantes Institute and a network of partner universities, testing all four language skills.

  • Scored from 0 to 250 points per section, with a CEFR equivalence.

  • Results are valid for 5 years.

Preparing for the DELE

Levels, 2026 exam dates and what to expect on test day, everything you need to plan your DELE preparation.

Find your level, from A1 to C2

Students can sit for one of 6 DELE levels, from Beginner (A1) to Advanced (C2). In general, you should already have the Spanish level you want to test for. Total beginners typically need around 8 weeks of lessons before sitting the A1 exam.

Preparing for the SIELE

Scoring, format and cost, everything you need to know before you sit the SIELE.

Four skills, one score

The SIELE exam has 4 separate sections: reading comprehension, oral comprehension, written expression and interaction, and oral expression and interaction. Each section is scored from 0 to 250 points, and the score has a CEFR equivalence (for example, a score of 120 on the reading comprehension test is equivalent to B1).
