Most of our visitors enter the country on a tourist visa, which typically lasts 90 days and can be renewed for a second 90 days after arrival.
Argentina has a Reciprocity Tax for anyone travelling with a passport from Canada or Australia. It is based upon the cost for an Argentine citizen to get a tourist visa in each country. The fee must be paid before travel and students must show the receipt upon check-in with the airline and in Immigration before entering Argentina.
- Canada: US$92 (valid for 10 years)
- Australia: US$100 (valid for one year)
United States citizens can note that they no longer need to pay a reciprocity fee, which was suspended in 2016.
