What is CSN?
CSN (Centrala studiestödsnämnden) is Sweden's national student aid authority. If you're a Swedish student, you can use your CSN funding to study Spanish with Expanish in Spain, Argentina or Costa Rica. We offer a special discounted rate on tuition and housing to make your language-learning adventure abroad more affordable.

How CSN funding covers the cost
CSN provides a tuition loan (capped at SEK 1,894/week) plus a grant and loan for living costs.
In Barcelona, Madrid, Málaga and Buenos Aires, the CSN tuition loan typically covers the full €170/week rate.
For the minimum 13-week programme, an estimated €380 (about €29/week) remains to be covered by the student or their living-cost grant and loan.
All EUR/SEK conversions on this page are approximate and based on current exchange rates. CSN funding amounts are fixed in SEK; the euro equivalent may vary slightly depending on the exchange rate at the time of your application.
