Lena Tahmassian

Lena leads the academic program for UCEAP and helps design new courses for Expanish’s Study Abroad programs. She holds a PhD in Iberian and Latin American Cultures from Stanford University and has more than 17 years of professional experience in education.

Lena’s objective is to create a high impact academic experience for our study abroad students, one that is grounded in the social and cultural context of each of our destinations. Her own study abroad experience in Spain was life-changing and this drives her to help students along their own transformative journey.
