As an internship student you will enroll in an internship seminar. Your 15 hours interning combined with a seminar, earns you valuable work experience and credit!

Your Semester Credits
Credits & Course Structure
During your semester in Madrid, you’ll combine academic coursework with a professional internship, completing 4–5 courses and earning a total of 12–15 U.S. semester credits.
Credits Breakdown:
3 U.S. credits for the required Intensive Spanish Language course at Expanish Madrid
3–6 U.S. credits from your internship placement and related coursework
3–6 U.S. credits from content courses at the Expanish Study Center
Language of Instruction:
Internship and content courses: English
Spanish language course: practical communication and professional Spanish
Weekly Schedule:
Classes are held Monday through Thursday
Internship hours vary depending on your host organization and placement schedule

In between your internship hours, you'll enroll in courses at our Expanish study center, located in one of the best neighborhoods of Spain!

Our study center is located in the neighborhood Salamanca, known for the best cafes, shops, and restaurants .
Our school plans 3-4 weekly activities for you to learn more about the city around you, as well as meet new friends!
Our study center hosts international students year-round! This means you'll learn beyond just the Spanish culture while abroad!
