On this semester program, you’ll explore environmental science and biology in one of the world’s most biodiverse countries. San José becomes your classroom as you study ecosystems, conservation, and biological research within a global and local context, examining how science informs sustainability and environmental stewardship.
Courses are delivered at our partner university, Veritas University, combining international perspectives with Costa Rica’s strong academic and research traditions in environmental and biological sciences. Classroom learning is complemented by field-based experiences, site visits, and applied projects that connect scientific theory to real-world environmental challenges.
Learning extends into Costa Rica’s natural and urban environments. Through faculty-led activities, ecological visits, and local exploration, you’ll engage directly with the country’s diverse ecosystems, gaining insight into how conservation, biodiversity, and community life intersect.
