Business, Engineering & Technology

A Semester in Buenos Aires, Argentina

On this semester program, you’ll explore the intersection of business strategy, engineering, and technological innovation in one of Latin America’s most dynamic cities. Buenos Aires becomes your classroom as you examine how emerging technologies, entrepreneurial thinking, and engineering solutions shape global markets and local industries.

Courses are delivered through a hybrid model at the Expanish Study Center and our partner university, ITBA (Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires), combining international perspectives with strong technical and industry-focused expertise. Classroom learning is enhanced by site visits, guest speakers, and applied projects that connect theory to real-world business and engineering challenges.

Buenos Aires Beyond the Classroom

Learning extends well beyond the Study Center. Through faculty-led activities, cultural visits, and neighborhood exploration, you’ll engage with Buenos Aires’ vibrant startup scene, industrial sectors, and cultural life, gaining insight into how innovation and entrepreneurship operate within a global and Latin American context.

Study at a Local University

Take select courses at ITBA, studying alongside Argentine and international students while experiencing one of the region’s leading institutions for engineering, technology, and business education. This immersive academic experience offers firsthand exposure to Argentina’s innovation ecosystem.

Customize the Program to Your Interests

The Business, Engineering, and Technology program is designed for students interested in business, engineering, computer science, technology, entrepreneurship, and related fields. Its interdisciplinary structure allows you to align technical studies with business and global perspectives.

Hear From Our Students

One of my favorite parts about studying abroad was living with my host mom. Expanish did a really good job pairing me and my friend with her because we have a lot of the same interests and we had a lot to talk about.

From the second we landed, everything was so well organized and flowed seamlessly. I could never have imagined a better combination of activities and the support that is available from everyone involved in the program has blown me away.

I love the city architecture and layout a lot and the ability to take the subte or a bus so easily to reach new neighborhoods. I especially have appreciated the frequency of parks and cafes in every corner and how this is really integrated into daily life here.

I've learned a lot of self confidence, independence, and how to take care of myself in a new city
