A Semester in Buenos Aires, Argentina
Spend a semester exploring society, economy, and culture in one of Latin America’s most fascinating and influential cities. In this program, Buenos Aires becomes your classroom as you examine how history, culture, economic change, and social movements shape contemporary Argentina and the broader global context.
All courses are taught at the Expanish Study Center in Buenos Aires, where you’ll engage with interdisciplinary topics that connect cultural analysis, social dynamics, and economic development. Through interactive classes, discussions, and applied projects, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of Argentine society while building strong academic and intercultural skills.
Learning continues throughout the city. Through guided activities, cultural visits, and neighborhood exploration, you’ll experience Buenos Aires’ vibrant arts scene, historic districts, and diverse communities while seeing firsthand how culture and society shape everyday life.
Your classes take place at the centrally located Expanish Study Center, where experienced faculty and small class sizes create an engaging learning environment. You’ll study alongside international students from around the world while benefiting from dedicated academic and student support throughout the semester.
The Society, Economy & Culture program is ideal for students interested in fields such as international studies, sociology, economics, cultural studies, political science, and Latin American studies. The interdisciplinary curriculum allows you to explore complex social and cultural topics while gaining regional expertise.
Through collaborative coursework, cultural immersion, and engagement with local perspectives, you’ll develop cross-cultural communication, critical thinking, and global awareness. By the end of the semester, you’ll leave Buenos Aires with a deeper understanding of Argentina and valuable skills that extend far beyond the classroom.

During your semester in Buenos Aires, you will take 3–4 courses total, earning 12–15 U.S. semester credits.

Weekly Schedule: Classes run Monday through Thursday, giving you long weekends to explore Buenos Aires and the surrounding region.
