Spanish Summer Camp for Teens: Spain & Costa Rica Adventures

Summer camps in Spain are typically aimed at under 18s, though there are also some special programs for young adults. Some Summer camps offer places for children as young as 5. However, we believe 13-17 is an ideal age range as these students typically have a good balance of independence, maturity and curiosity to get the most from the experience.  

Summer camp students will stay in modern student residencies in prime locations in either Barcelona or Málaga. Facilities include double or single rooms with en-suite bathrooms, large common spaces (including a swimming pool in Málaga!) and evening-weekend security. Accommodation is full-board, so students will receive 3 meals a day (breakfast, lunch and dinner).

Students will always be supervised by professional Expanish staff and activity leaders who have substantial experience working with children and coordinating groups. All staff have passed a background check. Staff will remain on-site in the student residence throughout the summer camp, so they are always available to support students, and there is an emergency phone line available 24/7. All evening/night activities are fully supervised and there is an 11pm curfew.

Summer camp programs include a wide range of cultural and social activities aimed at making the experience fun and engaging for all students. This could include visits to iconic buildings, parks or beaches, dance or cooking classes, interactive workshops, film/music/games nights or sports events. Students that stay for more than 1 week may also be able to join a weekend day trip or overnight excursion to a nearby attraction such as heritage sites, theme parks or beautiful beach towns. 

The main difference is that students enrolled on an ‘overnight camp’ will sleep at a student residency, while ‘day camp’ students will stay with their parent/guardian. Day camp students will join the same Spanish lessons and social activities as overnight camp students, and will also share lunch in the on-site cafeteria. However, only overnight camp students will have full-board service (breakfast and dinner).
